Of course, this doesn’t stop at computer policies. It’s the whole concept of security — from virtual (electronic) to physical (real 3D) — that is at risk from younger employees with easier corporate access to valuable information and assets than ever before. The lines are now blurring between hard and cloud files. And when it comes to intellectual property (thank you Internet), the newest generation of employees see information access differently than their older peers. Employers therefore need to re-evaluate not only IT, but their physical security policies. When you consider the cost of loss, the time spent planning, drafting and enforcing tighter security policies represents a valuable investment to protect your most valuable assets.
